The Afsluitdijk is a narrow causeway that goes across the North Sea to dam off the Zuiderzee to make the IJsselmeer. There are few places to stop, but there was a very narrow place for people to park as well as for truckers to get a rest break.

It's narrow. And the ramp curves and rises. When trucks are parked there, there is very little room to pass, and even less for maneuvering to park. I hit the trailer on the guardrail three times and my truck on the stairs for the pedestrian overpass.
