J0194. It was true that I really did like my life here. Compared to the DAF I drove for Buddy’s company, my Scot was rather primitive, but I enjoyed the simplicity. It was cheap and easy to repair, and while it was less designed to last than the more expensive European trucks, the only serious shortcoming was the lack of sleeper. The relatively mild nights meant I could - uncomfortably - sleep in the cab and other times I stayed at a hotel. I didn’t even mind that the motor only made 290hp.
